Overview

The InviMag® Pathogen Kit/ KFmL contains the lyophilized lysis buffer for bacterial DNA, viral DNA and viral RNA isolation from a variety of starting materials. After lysis the samples are transferred to a magnetic bead based procedure. The kit is designed for semi-automated preparation on the KingFisher mL workstation. Up to 15 samples in parallel can be processed.

Workflow

The sample is lysed in an optimized lysis buffer and the lysates are transferred to the subsequent automated purification procedure. The DNA/RNA binds to magnetic particles, followed by washing steps and the final elution. The procedure requires minimal interaction by the user, allowing safe handling of potentially infectious samples. The isolated nucleic acids are ready-to-use for subsequent downstream applications:
